Finished in a bright orange maintenance scheme, the truck is lettered “Lionel Track Testing Equipment” with the classic Lionel logo on both sides. Unlike a standard die-cast vehicle, this model is designed to actually operate on an O Gauge railroad using its built-in rail wheels.
The original box identifies several operating features, including a powerful DC motor designed to run on AC or DC power, operating headlights, operating rear lights, traction tires, and metal wheels and axles.
This example includes its original Lionel Electric Trains window box and internal packaging, making it an especially nice piece for Lionel operators and collectors.
